Yes. When you join a Just Play team, you're automatically registered for that team's next season unless you opt out. That's how teams stay together season after season.
You're never locked in. You can see the next season's cost and dates before a cent is charged, and turning it off takes a moment.
How a renewal happens
Your current season nears its end and the next one is published
The next season appears in the app with the full detail: dates, cost, and who from your team is continuing
We email you the next season's details a few weeks before the charge, then a reminder arrives 6 days before it, subject "Subscription reminder - Just Play <Team Name>"
If you haven't opted out by then, the charge goes through and your spot is held
How to stop it
Use the opt-out toggle in the app or dashboard, any time up to your renewal date
Or message us by email or SMS, up to 10am the day before your renewal date, and we'll do it for you

If the app won't let you opt out, message us before the renewal date rather than after it. A technical fault isn't a reason for you to be charged, but we need to hear about it in time to stop the charge.
If you want to keep playing, just not weekly
It's not a choice between renewing and disappearing. You can finish the season you're in and stop there, then book single games whenever it suits you through One Game.
Why it works this way
Most teams want to stay together, and the alternative is asking eight to twelve people to individually re-register in the fortnight between seasons. The renewal holds your team and your spot. It's still your call every time, and the price is in front of you before it happens.
