Play as often as you can, and keep your RSVP accurate. Missing the odd week is normal and nobody plays every game. What causes problems is a player who is marked as playing and doesn't turn up, or who keeps changing their RSVP on the day.
Why it matters
Squads are small on purpose, and sized so the team still has enough players when a few people are out. Number of players in a team explains how. One regular absentee changes the night for everyone else, and a team that keeps playing short stops enjoying it.
The rules
Update your RSVP at least 24 hours before the game. Any change on the day of the game is a late RSVP. RSVPs stay open until 30 minutes before the start, then the lineup locks.
A no-show, where you're marked as playing and don't turn up, costs $15.
Repeated late RSVPs that cause your team to forfeit cost $15.
Two unexplained no-shows, or three late RSVPs, in a season can see you removed from your team. We understand two emergencies, not more. Registration isn't refunded if you're removed.
If you can't make most of the games
Update your RSVPs early and every time, so the lineup is real. See RSVPs: how do I tell you I cannot play?.
Tell us if it's injury or illness. See What happens if I get injured, and am I insured?.
Swap your remaining games for One Game codes and play single games when they suit you. Swapping gives up your team place and ends auto-renewal. See Can I swap my season for One Game credits?.
Ask about moving to a different night, venue or team. We'll always do our best; see Can I change my night, venue or team?.
The rules aren't aimed at the person who misses three weeks with a rolled ankle. They're aimed at the spot that never turns up, and the team that gets left short.
