So, you can't make a game with your beloved Just Play team (or you're just super on the ball about managing your schedule). Either way, you've come to the right place!

If you can't make an upcoming game, don't sweat it. All you need to do is update your RSVP, and you'll have done the single most helpful thing for both your team and for our team back at Just Play HQ. Updating your RSVP as early as possible gives us the best chance at finding a fill-in for your team.

So, whilst your JP team may be missing your beautiful personality, at least they won't be missing a body on court.

The easiest way to do this is via our iOS or android app, in one of two ways.

1. Schedule

You can toggle yourself to unavailable for upcoming games in the "Schedule" tab of the Just Play app.

2. Calendar

If you know in advance that you're not going to make it, you can block out specific dates via the availability calendar in your profile.

A few more things you should know:

Messaging your team to let them know you're unable to make the game is a lovely gesture, but it isn't enough to keep your RSVP up to date.

Your team is not responsible for finding fill-ins or dealing with absences, so we do require that you let us know of your absence by updating your RSVP.

  • To give us enough notice, ensure your RSVP is updated more than 12 hours before the scheduled game time. If your RSVP is not updated by this time, this is considered a 'Late RSVP'.

Please note: In the event that a team must forfeit due to Late RSVP unavailabilities, Just Play will automatically charge a Late RSVP fee of $10.00 to your stored payment method.

  • Similarly, if your RSVP is changed to not attending within 30 minutes of the game time, or you simply don't show up, this is considered a 'no-show'.

Please note: In the event that you do not attend a game without updating your RSVP status to "unavailable" Just Play will automatically charge a No-Show fee of $15.00 to your stored payment method.

If you have one unexplained no-show or late opt-out, your RSVP will automatically be updated to not-attending your future games with the team. You can change this any time in your schedule tab by opting back in when you are sure you're able to make a game, but this just helps us ensure the team will have a full team on game day.

If you have more than two unexplained late opt-outs, or two unexplained no-shows in a season, you may be removed from the team. While this is not what we want, we do have a responsibility to your teammates to ensure they're able to have a good match with a full team each week. If this happens to you and you want to reverse this decision, you'll just have to (nicely) message our lovely customer support team! 😉
