First up, you’ll need to choose whether you want to sign up for a season, which means you’re a member of a team with a fixtured game each week, or you can choose to play games on a casual, game-by-game basis.

Sign up for a season

A season runs for between 8 and 16 weeks (You’ll see the number of games listed under each available league, as per screenshot below). When you sign up for a season you are guaranteeing your place as a permanent member of a team.

Once the season is underway you will play a game each week with the same teammates (if you have to miss a game or two, don’t stress – just follow our RSVP policy to mark yourself as unavailable for the relevant dates and games in your player dashboard, and we’ll take care of it). We also provide 1 x Games credit for any game that you RSVP as unavailable to with more than 48 hours notice.

Our seasons run back to back, so if you find a competition and team that suits, you are welcome to play multiple seasons with more or less the same group of players (lots of our players choose to do this, and we’ll always try to keep teams together - read about team subscriptions here).

Play casual games

If you’re a free spirit who isn’t sure what you’ll be doing a month or a week or even a day from now, then our games option is perfect for you. When you feel like playing, you can just book in to play games at times and locations that suit.

There are a few perks to doing it this way: You can begin playing immediately (on the day you sign up if you want to), and you can mix and match the day, time, and venue that you play at from game-to-game. Play as little or as often or you want to. Zero commitment required.

Summary

So the choice is yours – you can buy games and you can get started ASAP.

And for those of you thinking about signing up for a season – you can confirm your place and we will then post out your playing top within a couple of days. Following this you can still book in for some games if you are keen to play immediately (no need to wait for the season to start). Not too shabby, eh?
