What emails and notifications does Just Play send?

A registration confirmation, your team and first game details, renewal emails before a charge, a password reset when you ask, and an SMS and app push if a game is cancelled.

Not many, and almost all of them are about a game you are playing. Here is the full list so nothing is a surprise.

What we send

  • Registration confirmation. Straight after you sign up.

  • Important Team Info. In the app 14 days before your season starts, with venue rules and what to bring.

  • Team and first game details. 3 to 5 days before your first game, with your venue, time, team name and teammates.

  • Renewal emails. Your renewal details are emailed before the renewal charge, with a reminder email 6 days before it. The subject is "Subscription reminder - Just Play <Team Name>". See Does my season renew automatically, and how do I stop it?.

  • Game cancellations. If your game is cancelled, including for weather, we always send an SMS and an app push. We generally know by 5pm local time. If you have not heard from us, assume it is on.

  • Password reset. Only when you ask for one. It comes from "Just Play" <[email protected]> with the subject "Reset your password".

  • App notifications. RSVP prompts and lineup updates.

  • Game time changes. If your game time changes after the game reminder has gone out (11am the day before), we send you a notification.

Team chat happens in your team's WhatsApp group, so those messages come through WhatsApp, not the Just Play app.

Turning them off

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any of them. Messages about games you're registered for, like team details, cancellations and renewal reminders, keep coming while you're registered, because you need them to play.
